Harry Hall arrives in Sydney to help in the investigation of the brutal murder of a Norwegian woman. Australian police were not taking it seriously, but the case is much more complicated than it might seem at first glance. Ancient Aboriginal legends come alive, the spirit of death stretched out above ground black bat wings, and Harry, like a hero, who won the dreaded snake Bubbura, will join the battle with an insidious enemy to defeat evil and avenge the death of his lover. This case will be the beginning of several eccentric Harry police careers, and for its creator, Yu Nesbjo, is the first step towards a dizzying world fame.
